NOTE: Since the onset of the COVID-19 shutdowns, we have been asked about our supply chain's stability, and we're hearing from our customers that many of our competitors are taking 6 to 8 weeks to fill orders. At EPC, we are still filling most orders in 4 - 6 DAYS.

As an Essential Business, Encoder Products Company is Committed to the Fight Against COVID-19 While Making Health and Safety of Employees Top Priority.

As one of the few encoder manufacturers in the USA and a company that supplies necessary parts to critical industries, Encoder Products Company is classified as an “essential business” under the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

As manufacturers shift their facilities to manufacture essential products, it is now EPC’s duty to support the businesses that are fighting COVID-19, while providing the highest level of protection for our employees and community.

The encoders we manufacture are necessary to support the following Essential/Critical Infrastructure sectors:

  • Healthcare and Public Health
  • Critical Construction
  • Defense Industrial Base
  • Food and Agriculture
  • Transportation and Logistics Systems
  • Critical Manufacturing
  • Operation of Dams
  • Communications
  • Energy

At EPC, the health and safety of our employees and community is our top priority

EPC employees are identified as Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers and we are maintaining our normal business activities as much as possible. Here are a few of the precautionary steps we are taking to help minimize the risk to our employees:

  • All employees have received EPC’s COVID-19 Prevention and Protocol Training.
  • Visits to EPC facilities by non-employees have been suspended.
  • Our 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Sagle, Idaho, has been divided into Work Zones to minimize employee interaction:
    1. Each Zone has its own entry/exit, work-space, restrooms, and break area, so that employees only interact with other people in their Work Zones.
    2. The Zones allow for extensive cleaning and sanitation protocols.
    3. Parking has been expanded to make it easier for employees to enter their respective Zone from any side of the facility. This expanded parking also provides more space between vehicles to ensure social distancing.
  • All employees are practicing a strict, 6-foot social distancing policy while on EPC property.
  • Employees who can work from home have been supplied with company-issued laptops and are working remotely.
  • Extensive cleaning and sanitation efforts have increased in scale and frequency.
  • Business travel was suspended several weeks ago, and any face-to-face customer or vendor meetings have been replaced with virtual meetings, utilizing tools like video conferencing and conference calls.

While the situation created by the COVID-19 virus continues to be fluid, at EPC we are making every effort to minimize risk to our employees while providing essential support to companies who need our encoders to manufacture necessary supplies during this national emergency.
