PROFIsafe Safety Encoder for Reliable Position & Speed Feedback

The TRT/S3 PROFIsafe safety encoder provides certified position and speed feedback for safety-critical motion applications. Designed for integration with PROFINET and PROFIsafe systems, this compact 42 mm absolute encoder supports applications requiring SIL 2 and PL d functional safety.

Available in single-turn and multi-turn configurations, the TRT/S3 uses contactless magnetic sensing for wear-free position measurement. Safe position and speed signals can be transmitted through PROFIsafe, while an additional non-safety channel supports standard control functions.

Its compact design, rugged construction, high shock and vibration resistance, and programmable parameters make the TRT/S3 well suited for automated machinery, material handling, mobile equipment, robotics, packaging systems, and other safety-related motion applications.
